- Interactive Bots: Enable users to conversationally interact with data and back-end applications. Users have the ability to subscribe to the presence of the application and add it to their buddy list.
- Alerting Applications: Develop interactive outbound IM applications, such as enabling applications to notify employees through IM based on presence, need, skill set or other business logic. Users have the ability to take action or query for additional information on the alert via the same IM window.
- Transfer Applications: Designed for customer support type IM applications, active blending enables customers to first obtain self-help while offering the option to transfer to a "live agent". The context and history of the chat during the customer self-help session is also provided to the live agent with the transfer.
Patent-pending natural language capabilities—provide applications with ability to parse conversational chat and interpret for requisite action to take. Akonix L7 Builder contains built-in grammars, dynamic spell check correction, and regular expression libraries.
