Akonix Products Overview

Akonix® Systems provides Unified Policy Management for organizational use of real-time communications. Akonix’s L7 Enterprise™ on A-Series appliances delivers policy management and enforcement, archiving, content scanning, and protection against spyware, viruses and worms for corporate use of real-time communications, including instant messaging, online conferencing, VOIP, and electronic fax.

Founded in 2000, Akonix provides a Unified Policy Management (UPM) platform to monitor the use of Unified Communications applications in the workplace, administering and enforcing corporate policy and assisting with compliance regulations. The company offers a suite of modules that integrate with the UPM platform, simplifying and securing the use of UC by managing it at a central location. The various modules perform security, archiving, content scanning entitlement and reporting functions for multiple forms of real-time, electronic communications, including instant messaging, online conferencing, VoIP and electronic faxing.

L7 Enterprise™ Suite

Akonix L7 Enterprise is the Unified Policy Management suite of products, including the L7 Enterprise Server, L7 Management Console, L7 Reporter, and a selection of modules for managing policy, security, and compliance for a multitude of unified communications applications. Each module may be purchased separately or with other modules. L7 Enterprise is factory configured on Akonix’s award-winning ASeries appliances.

Akonix A6000™ Appliance

The Akonix A6000 appliance delivers the industry's only all-in-one enterprise-class solution optimized for instant messaging (IM) security and management. The A6000 appliance protects corporate networks from viruses, worms and other IM attacks; controls access to and enforces policies for public and enterprise IM; and ensures regulatory compliance by logging all IM communications.
