L7 Enterprise for VOIP

Companies and organizations all over the world are implementing Voice Over IP, or “VOIP” capabilities into their computing and communications infrastructures in hopes of realizing significant cost benefits and new productivity benefits from the ability to see online “presence” of people.  With VOIP integrated into EIM platforms like Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 or IBM Lotus Sametime, companies can now unify presence, directory attributes, and click-to-contact features across email, collaboration, instant messaging, and yes, telephony.

L7 Enterprise for VOIP helps customers integrate compliance and policy management for VOIP into the overall policy management effort by tracking voice calls made through VOIP gateways by employees.

With L7 Enterprise for VOIP, organizations can log all incoming and outgoing calls, telephone numbers, and length of call directly into their email archiving platforms as electronic records. L7 Enterprise for VOIP also allows companies to set and enforce policy on who can use VOIP features by allowing or blocking access to VOIP. Even more valuable, companies can institute “Chinese Walls” or ethical boundaries between different groups or roles of people. For example, policy in financial services firms may dictate that no traders can use the VOIP system to contact any analysts in the firm. L7 Enterprise for VOIP allows the supervisory staff to implement ethical boundaries per policy and ensure that companies remain in regulatory compliance.

L7 Enterprise for VOIP is available for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. Check back soon for support for IBM Lotus Sametime 8 and other popular VOIP gateways and applications!
