Senior Release Engineer | San Diego

Summary

The Sr. Release Engineer is responsible for software configuration, builds, packaging, and release management. They must have proven ability to develop, implement, and manage software release plans and processes. Experience with version control systems, performing software builds, developing packaging and installation scripts and post product software is a must.

Job Requirements:

At least 4 years of experience in software release management.
Design, implementation, and maintenance of build automation scripts; setup and maintenance of build and QA environments; and the management of the source control system (Perforce).
Experience in build/release engineering and configuration management with a solid knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle.
Strong experience with source control systems (Perforce), administrator level experience preferred.
Strong experience working on Linux systems including some system administrative experience. Experience developing shell scripts.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks, short release cycles, experience on a product that has been released for public consumption.
Experience implementing and maintaining InstallShield packages including experience with InstallScript and MSI.
Experience with configuration and maintenance of CruiseControl continuous integration software.
Familiarity with JAVA/C++ programming languages is a plus.
