Stock Options | Akonix feels that it is very important to offer employees the opportunity to take ownership in the company. As an added incentive all full time employees are granted pre-IPO stock option shares.

401K | The Akonix 401(k) Plan is designed to help employees plan for their future, eligible employees' contributions are made on a pretax basis.

Personal Time Off | Akonix recognizes that everyone needs a little R&R and PTO accrual is based on tenure with the company. All employees begin accruing 3 weeks of PTO in their first year. In addition, we celebrate 9 paid holidays per year.

Health Care | Akonix offers health care coverage for employees and their eligible dependents. Domestic partner coverage is also available.

  • Medical Insurance | 3 plan choices offered include: Aetna HMO (CA employees only), Aetna Open Access Managed Choice (similar to a PPO plan), and Aetna PPO for employees in select states outside of California
  • Dental Insurance | 2 plan choices offered include: Aetna DMO and Aetna PPO. The DMO alternative includes orthodontia coverage for children AND adults; both the DMO and PPO options come with 100% preventive care coverage
  • Vision Insurance | Vision Service Plan (VSP): One exam and lenses per year

Pre-Tax Savings Programs | Akonix offers employees two Flexible Spending Account options which include Medical Spending and Dependent Care spending accounts.

Income Protection | Akonix understands that a little peace of mind goes a long way. Basic life insurance/AD&D and long-term disability (LTD) is provided to all employees at no cost.

Employee Assistance Program | Akonix partners with The Holman Group to provide free counseling services to employees and their families for all types of issues.
